Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the CrossArm website and CrossArm VIP Discord access ("VIP", "the Service"). By purchasing VIP or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't purchase VIP or use the site.

The short version VIP is a one-time $5 payment for lifetime access to a private Discord server. It gets you early build updates, a vote on design decisions, and priority access when CrossArm hardware eventually ships. It does not reserve, pre-order, or guarantee you a physical CrossArm unit — that will be a separate purchase when the product launches.

1. What CrossArm is

CrossArm is a wearable camera boom rig currently in development. It has not launched and is not currently available for purchase. Specifications, renders, timelines, and features described on this site are subject to change as the engineering process continues.

2. What VIP is and isn't

VIP is a one-time $5 USD payment that gives you lifetime access to a private Discord server. Members can expect build logs, prototype updates, input on design decisions through polls and threads, a tutorial library as it's produced, and priority access during the founders window when CrossArm launches.

VIP membership is not a pre-order, deposit, or reservation for physical CrossArm hardware. It does not guarantee that CrossArm will ship, ship by any particular date, or ship in any particular configuration. Purchasing the physical product, when available, will be a separate transaction.

3. Payment

VIP is a single, one-time payment of $5 USD through Stripe. There's no recurring charge, no subscription, and nothing to cancel — your access doesn't expire and isn't tied to any ongoing billing.

The $5 founders price is available while spots remain at that price. We may raise the price for new members at any time without notice; this never affects anyone who's already paid.

4. Discord conduct

Access to the VIP Discord server is subject to the server's own community rules, posted in the Discord itself, and to Discord's own Terms of Service. We can remove members from the server for conduct that violates server rules or Discord's terms. Removal for conduct violations does not entitle you to a refund.

5. Changes to the Service

We're a small pre-launch project. Features of VIP (channels, perks, format) may change as we figure out what's useful. We'll try to give members notice of material changes through the Discord server itself.

6. No warranty

The website and VIP Discord access are provided "as is." We don't guarantee the site or Discord service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Discord itself is a third-party platform we don't control.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CrossArm and its operators aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or VIP. Our total liability for any claim relating to VIP is limited to the amount you paid us.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the project develops. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and we'll flag significant changes in the VIP Discord.
